Kimberly Byrge

CEO, OTC

Kimberly Byrge is an award-winning CEO, small business leader, wife, mother, and advocate for women in defense and technology. Nearly three decades ago, she co-founded OTC, Inc. (formerly Ohio Technology Clearinghouse, Incorporated), building upon her family's legacy of military service, technical excellence, and entrepreneurship.

After relocating to Huntsville, Alabama in 1998, Kimberly steadily advanced through every facet of OTC’s operations before assuming full ownership and the role of CEO. Today, she leads OTC’s growth across systems engineering, CNS integration, software development, airworthiness, cybersecurity, and advanced defense technologies. Under Kimberly’s leadership, OTC continues to deliver mission-critical support to government clients while expanding into next-generation capabilities like CMMC compliance, AI integration, and scalable growth models.

In 2023, Kimberly was honored as the Woman-Owned Business of the Year by the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce, recognizing both OTC’s performance and her leadership impact.

Alongside her executive role, Kimberly is passionate about mentoring emerging women leaders in technology and defense. Drawing from her own experience navigating leadership challenges, she frequently speaks on imposter syndrome and leadership confidence, helping empower the next generation of women in male-dominated industries.

Kimberly remains active in the North Alabama business community through organizations such as Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS), Women in Defense (WID), The Catalyst Center for Business & Entrepreneurship, and NDIA. Outside of work, Kimberly is a proud wife and mother, enjoys music, community involvement, and fostering OTC’s strong, people-centered culture.

A RICH HISTORY

OTC, Inc. (formerly known as Ohio Technology Clearinghouse, Incorporated) is a business built from a rich family legacy. The originating core of what is now OTC, was founded in Ohio by Mrs. Byrge's Father, Thomas Bennett, in 1986, after leaving the Air Force. Kimberly grew up admiring her Father's dedication to delivering only the best that his talented mind had to offer in support of the US Warfighter. Tom's never ending entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to family, and American service, was instilled in Kimberly early on. Tom always loved and shared the idea of being a part of something bigger than yourself, both in service to Country and others, as well as pursuing the American dream of becoming a small business leader. Kimberly took that to heart.
Later in 1997, Kimberly began working with her Father on a new idea for a company, seeking new business in the Huntsville Alabama area. Over the next year Kimberly and Tom worked on several small proposals, commuting back and forth between Ohio and North Alabama, nurturing business relationships, establishing roots in Huntsville and working diligently on their first, of what would later become multiple, Army contracts at Redstone Arsenal. In late 1998, Kimberly along with her Husband David and their two children, relocated permanently to the great city of Huntsville Alabama. Soon after, Kimberly incorporated OTC in the Great State Of Alabama, establishing a permanent commitment to winning small business opportunities through delivering only the best that OTC's talented minds have to offer in support of our US Warfighter. As Kimberly and Tom continued to work diligently over the next several years, Kimberly furthered OTC's pursuit of top minds by creating the foundation of OTC's corporate infrastructure, adding full health benefits, leave benefits, and 401K investment.
In late 2003, Kimberly's brother, Tyler Bennett, joined OTC and began supporting existing business, while also working in earnest on establishing new relationships within Army project offices. Over the next several years Tyler helped bring new energy to existing contract roles as well as expanded OTC's contract base, and in 2011 Tyler's role as President of OTC was established as part of OTC's new strategy for business growth. Tyler quickly became instrumental in managing OTC's people and partners within the various programs. Thomas continued as CEO, along with Kimberly as Vice President of OTC's Operations, consisting of multiple roles as Contracting Officer, Forecasting Analyst, Human Resources Management and virtually every aspect of OTC's operations behind the scenes. In late 2018 Thomas announced his retirement and began establishing his plan to pass the torch of leadership.
Following in her Father's footsteps, Kimberly Byrge took over as CEO and majority owner in 2020, marking the start of a new golden era for OTC. Kimberly quickly set in motion a new vision for the future of OTC, recognizing the untapped potential of cutting edge strategies for mindset and  growth in leading a successful company in this new era. Thomas Bennett saw that same potential in his Daughter all those many years ago and he took that to heart. Sadly, in 2021 Thomas Bennett passed away.
Today, Kimberly is forging a new path for OTC, possessing a long held respect for the traditions of legacy and the instilled work ethic of the old guard, while simultaneously embracing and investing in the ways of the new, the ambitious and the untested. As OTC continues forward, Kimberly leads the company as CEO and majority owner, guiding OTC into its next phase of strategic growth and long-term operational sustainability. Under her leadership, OTC remains deeply committed to its employees, clients, and mission to serve the U.S. Warfighter with integrity, excellence, and forward-looking innovation.
