WOW... still just wow! You guys, I am so humbled by the overwhelming responses from text messages, LinkedIn messages, emails, and so on that I have received after being the guest speaker at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber's Women's Business Council; Portrait of Success. I am only just now able to find time to post about it for the first time!

One thing that I've got to reminisce about while writing my speech about my journey as the CEO of OTC, Inc., was remembering where it all began. As I said in my speech about co-founding this company was, 'The very first place I contacted was the Chamber of Commerce. And look at me here today.' That statement could not be more true. Getting to stand up and speak on this journey with all it's ups and downs at the chamber; It’s moments like these that remind me how far we’ve come. As well as the incredible support we’ve had along the way.
Being recognized as the 2023 Woman-Owned Business of the Year at the Small Business Awards was a moment of immense pride and joy for me and hashtag#TeamOTC! And getting to speak on it, I could not to without speaking honestly and vulnerably about the imposter syndrome I have faced head on stepping into the CEO role 3 years ago.
Thank you, for letting me tell my story. And thank you for the outpouring of relatable stories, and meeting requests coming off of this talk. Huntsville, you keep showing me why you are my home town, and the community I am so proud we chose to make our home in 1998, moving our business and my family here.
